As a fifth-generation farmer from the Central Highlands of Tasmania and a father of four children, I am passionate about building a great future for all Tasmanians based on a clear vision for our State.
We have so much to offer the world and more than ever before, strong, and visionary leadership is required to make the most of our opportunities. As a farmer, business owner and employer, I know first-hand the challenges and opportunities that exist in communities throughout Lyons. It is in my nature to tackle the biggest challenges and to ensure the solutions to them are long-term.
I am a keen follower of all sport, and I am a strong advocate of Tasmania finally having its own AFL and AFLW team, including the construction of a stadium at Mac Point which will be a multigenerational piece of infrastructure for Tasmania. I know the benefits that it will bring to our regional economies right around Tasmania, and am proud that young Tasmanians can now aspire to play elite level sport without having to leave their home state.
We have many great emerging opportunities in this state across many areas including agriculture, tourism, energy and resources. I know we can grow our economy by supporting current and emerging high value enterprises without impacting our incredible way of life.
