Labor’s health spokesperson, Dr Bastian Seidel, has clearly stated on the record that he believes that Tasmania has “too many hospitals.”
• Tasmania has "too many hospitals" Bastien Seidel, Twitter (25/6/2015)
• “Closing hospitals has little impact on patient outcomes” Bastien Seidel (5/5/2015
To date Dr Seidel has refused to withdraw these comments.
When Labor were last in Government, they cut $500 million from health and human services, sacked a nurse a day for 280 days, and never laid a single brick on the RHH redevelopment.
The fact is, Labor cannot be trusted with health, and will not rule out closing hospitals, as they did when they were last in power.
Only a majority Gutwein Liberal Government has a clear plan to continue record investment in Tasmania’s health system to Secure our Future.
