Labor’s housing Budget stuff up!

Labor has made yet another massive budget stuff up today, under costing house builds by 43 per cent.

Under the partnership model for delivering social housing with community housing providers, the Government’s contribution is a minimum of $140,000 based on latest market costings, yet Labor has today costed this at $97,500. And this is for one-to-two bedroom units only.

That’s more than $84 million short!

Labor are making policy on the run and trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes.

They have now well and truly bungled the Budget, under costing and over promising.

Labor will send Tasmania into unsustainable net debt of over $1 billion and the only way they can afford that is to make serious cuts, sack staff or tax Tasmanians – just like they did last time they were in Government.

Only a re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government can manage the Budget responsibly, keep our economy strong and invest in the essential services Tasmanians need.
