Pulling out all the stops for new Hydrogen Hub

Tasmania is pulling out all the stops to have Bell Bay chosen as one of the four new hydrogen hubs announced by the Federal Government today.

Bell Bay is a perfect investment choice, with its advanced manufacturing zone, abundant availability of renewable energy, state of the art infrastructure, water availability and port access. Bell Bay is ‘hydrogen ready’.

Today’s announcement by the Federal Government complements our Renewable Hydrogen Action Plan, which sets Tasmania up for a renewable energy future by developing a hydrogen industry in the state with production to begin by 2022-24.

Our abundance of existing and expandable renewable energy resources makes us ideally placed to produce premium ‘green hydrogen’ – hydrogen made from 100 per cent renewable sources.

Our plan is directed to making Tasmania a global producer and exporter of hydrogen by 2030.
