Liberals’ plan for Tasmania is working: unemployment rate at the equal lowest rate ever

Tasmania’s unemployment rate has hit a record low of 3.8 per cent.

That is the equal lowest rate since the ABS records started in February 1978.

The Liberals’ plan for a strong economy is clearly working.

But there is still more to do. Our plan is to create an additional 26,000 jobs in Tasmania to drive the rate even lower and to make sure that as many people as possible have a job.

All of this is at risk though. Labor is clearly preparing to do another deal with the Greens if they get the chance and we all know what that means – fewer jobs, bigger deficits and vital industries like forestry, mining, farming and tourism under attack.
