Labor's power hoax cost $3.2 million in one week

Labor has again been caught out with its latest power prices hoax.

Labor's energy spokesman has been forced to admit he doesn't know what his own policy would cost, saying "it would depend on the price of power".

Labor is promising to reimburse - for the next decade - contracted power customers who pay more than $100/MWh.

Last week, such a payment could have cost Tasmanian taxpayers $3.2 million. In just one week.

Locking in a ten-year price reimbursement for contracted customers is sowing seeds of driving the state deep into debt.

This isn't just another cruel hoax by Labor.

It's a dangerous delusion that could wreck the state's budget.

Only a Rockliff Liberal Government is delivering the lowest regulated power prices in the nation, and targeted affordable relief for contracted customers.
