Labor's magical money tree of zombie promises

Labor must come clean and reveal which of its long list of zombie promises are part of their election platform.

Even before the election was called, Labor threw millions of dollars from its magical money tree far and wide, racking up almost $800 million in uncosted, unfunded promises.

That would blow a massive hole in the state budget, driving up debt and taxes.

Labor now needs to tell Tasmanians which of these promises are part of their election platform so they can be included in their official costings.

It’s telling that Labor is refusing to let independent Treasury officials cost any of their promises under the Charter of Budget Responsibility Act.

In the 2021 Election, Labor failed to have any of their major policies costed.

Only a majority Liberal Government will deliver its 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future fully costed and fully funded.
