The PM fails to bring cash or answers

Labor Leader Rebecca White has been left red-faced and empty-handed after the PM failed to deliver anything for Tasmania during his carefully stage-managed and tightly controlled appearance at Labor’s campaign launch.

Squeezing in an appearance at the launch before a party fundraising lunch, the Prime Minister may have been happy to leave Tasmania with some cash in his pocket, but he certainly wasn’t handing any out.

Ms White’s central health pledge: to ask Canberra for money to fund hospital upgrades appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Ms White made no mention of health in her campaign launch. Indeed, Ms White did not even utter the word ‘health’ once.

It's disappointing the PM also again failed to provide the vital assurance West Coast aquaculture workers want to hear, and deserve to hear, before they vote.

It's obvious that Labor have decided to wait until after the election before pulling the pin on salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour and destroying regional jobs just like they did with forestry.

The PM also failed to restore the $30 million he ripped away from the Cradle Mountain Cableway.

Albo failed to deliver either cash or answers for Tasmania making the trip a wasteful dud.
