Josh Garvin is passionate about working with our community to tackle the challenges many Tasmanians face around housing.
Josh grew up in rural Tasmania. After spending 5 years in Canada, he returned home to study at the University of Tasmania. Recently, he completed his Bachelor in Arts and Law degree and has been admitted to practice Law.
Josh's family taught him the importance of strong values. They lived in a community that cared for at risk youth, worked to build people up and ensure people are seen and empowered.
Since returning home to Tasmania, Josh has advocated for students on UTAS campus, volunteered at his local church and played for local sporting clubs.
In late 2022, Josh married Jen. They know the challenges of working full time, saving for a deposit, paying off HECS and hoping to start a family.
Josh is enthusiastic about providing a voice to those who have been left behind and finding genuine solutions to the challenges facing our community.
