Josh Garvin grew up in rural Tasmania before moving to Canada with his family as a teenager. He returned home to begin his studies at the University of Tasmania in 2017, and in 2023 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Laws.
Since returning to Tasmania, Josh has advocated for students on the Sandy Bay UTAS campus, and has been an active member of his community through his local church, and his participation in local sporting clubs.
Josh and his wife are just starting out their lives together and establishing themselves in their local community. They know first hand the challenges this phase of life poses and Josh is passionate about providing a voice to the aspirations and challenges of Franklin’s young people.
