A re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government will direct the Hydro not to sell its retail arm, Momentum.

This morning I confirmed this position directly with Hydro Tasmania.

While the national energy market is changing and evolving, we have carefully considered the issue and determined that Momentum will provide maximum benefits to Tasmanians if it remains in Hydro Tasmania's ownership.

We value the hard work of Momentum employees.

And as we have made perfectly clear, Hydro will never be sold under any circumstances by a re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government.
