Happy Easter to all Tasmanians

Easter is a time for reflection and hope, and as we look back on the last 12 months there is no doubt we have much to be thankful for.

This time last year we were staying home to save lives. Tasmanians did an outstanding job to keep on top of COVID, and this year we are fortunate enough to be living in one of the safest places in the world.

This year at Easter I want to thank all Tasmanians. For their kindness and compassion, and supporting one another at a time we needed it most.

This weekend it gives me great pleasure to see people out and about, enjoying time with friends and family.

Today, I also acknowledge those lives lost in the past 12 months from COVID, the 13 Tasmanian lives and more than 2.8 million lives worldwide.

There is no doubt the challenges of the past 12 months have been testing, but we are in a good place.

A re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government will continue to work hard to keep Tasmanians safe and to secure our future.

From my family to yours, have a very safe and a very happy Easter.
