A majority Gutwein Liberal Government will provide winter energy bill relief of $125 per household for concession customers, giving direct assistance to those who need it most.
The energy bill supplement will apply from this winter for eligible concession card holders, reducing energy bills and the likelihood of bill shock for around 90,000 Tasmanians at a cost of up to $12 million.
The Government will also continue to put downwards pressure on the cost of living and doing business by empowering customers to lower their power usage, including:
- Re-launching the $30 million Energy Efficiency Loans Scheme Program;
- Providing $2 million to boost the No Interest Loan Scheme’s Energy Saver Loan and Subsidy Scheme; and
- Completing the rollout of advanced meters by 2026.
Electricity prices skyrocketed by a crippling 65 per cent under the previous Labor Green Government.
Only a re-elected majority Gutwein Liberal Government will reduce the cost of living and has the clear plan to secure Tasmania’s future.
