A stronger economy, more jobs and reducing the cost of living is part of the Liberal Plan for our region.
Our national plan to create 1.3 million more jobs over the next five years will see an additional 26,000 jobs for Tasmanians.
Liberal Member for Bass, Bridget Archer said that creating jobs was central to her plan for northern Tasmania.
“Under our government, the Tasmanian unemployment rate has dropped from 8 per cent in 2013 to 4.5 per cent today,” Ms Archer said.
“By providing tax relief for workers and small businesses, investing in skills and trades, and supporting regional communities like Bass, our plan will create more jobs and a stronger future.
“We are also delivering lower energy prices for Tasmanians to reduce costs for both businesses and households.
“Since we came to government, Tasmanian electricity costs have fallen by around 13 per cent.
“Lower electricity prices make local businesses in northern Tasmania more competitive, allowing them to grow and create more jobs for our State.
“We also know that the cost of living pressures are real, and that lower energy prices help to keep more money in the pockets of Tasmanians.
“Only the Liberals will keep electricity prices down as part of our plan to deliver a stronger economy for a stronger future.”
