Winter admits power policy cost blowout

Labor’s power promises continue to crumble, with their energy spokesman embarrassingly admitting they would cost more than 5 times what he originally estimated.

One day after claiming his policy would cost $50m, the hapless Dean Winter has been forced to acknowledge the true cost would be $276m.

On X, formerly Twitter, Mr Winter accepted the Liberals cost-estimate of at least $276m is correct.

It comes after Mr Winter revealed he does not know how much his policy to reimburse contracted business customers for power usage over 100MWh would cost.

Given Mr Winter is so confused, he should immediately submit his dodgy energy promises for independent Treasury costing.

If he fails to do so, Tasmanians will know it’s all nothing but another cruel Labor hoax.
