Labor has again been caught out, with its promise to build 30 new child care centres being revealed as yet another hoax.

Within hours of spruiking the claim, the Labor childcare spokesman was forced to reveal Labor has no plans to build even one child care centre.

This is Labor’s media release:

“In partnership with the sector, we will build 30 new early childhood centres.”

This is what Mr Willie said:

"What we're proposing is to partner with existing service providers with a grant capital fund for them." (ABC Hobart Afternoons)

So, to be clear: Labor will not build a single child care centre!

Instead, they’re offering a token grant funding hoping someone else will - maybe - build some.

Voters know that offering grant money is very different to actually building a child care centre.

Labor continues to take Tasmanians for mugs.
