Labor’s latest health con job is a grab bag of uncosted, unfunded pie-in-the-sky promises.
And it shows Rebecca White can’t be trusted on health.
In November, Ms White promised Labor ‘will hire up to 90 nurse practitioners across the state’. (see facebook post here: Rebecca White MP | Facebook)
In today’s announcement Ms White is promising just 30 nurse practitioners.
Ms White obviously has a pretty generous definition of what ‘up to’ means.
Or were the 90 new nurse practitioners just one of Ms White’s many pre-election zombie promises?
Or is Ms White actually promising 120 new nurse practitioners?
Who knows?
Ms White is also promising to pay uni fees for 800 new nurses, claiming it will cost $5.8 million in the first year.
Make no mistake, paying the uni fees for 800 recruits will cost a lot more than that.
Labor’s magical money tree is getting bigger and bigger every single day.
Tasmanians deserve properly costed, fully funded policies to make our health system better.
