GREEN IN THE LABOR RANKS!

If Tasmanians were doubting if Labor would do a deal with the Greens they need to look no further than Labor’s candidate for Bass.

During a conversation about forestry in the Lilydale region on ABC radio yesterday afternoon Labor’s candidate for Bass Jess Teesdale was asked:

“Would you like to see the Tasmanian state government end native forest logging?”

Ms Teesdale replied:

[long pause] “Yes.”

This is an extraordinary break from Labor party policy and a glimpse of what would happen should Labor be re-elected with the support of the Greens.

Ms Teesdale seems to have forgotten last time Labor and the Greens did a deal they tried to shut down the forestry industry resulting in hundreds of jobs lost in north east Tasmania.

Businesses closed, communities were shattered and Ms Teesdale has made clear she is onboard to see this happen again.

Make no mistake, a vote for Labor is a vote for the Greens.
